Gate at B1: West gate

Gate at F10: East Gate

Gray buildings are barracks for militia or military. Light green buildings are for merchants. Purple buildings, except the circular one, are for town leaders or wealthy merchants. There are ponds and horse troughs around the town. The very small squares are small guard towers. That is a cobblestone footpath connecting the square towers, not a wall.

The town walls are near the map border, and have round towers on them.

Some odd street names ? Yes. Why are they named Control Road, Winder Street, and Clock Road ? Because in Ancient Times, they were part of a clock. The remains are buried around 50 feet down. Clock Road covers notches cut in rock, the path for a gear… The people who lived here long ago maintained the clock.

Sometimes a person traveling through the area will dream of a giant clock ‘tick tock tick tock’. Any mention of that to a local will get a shrug and then the traveler is ignored.

Do locals dream of Giant Clocks ? Yes, but they put it to too much food before sleeping for the night.

Does the long gone Giant Clock dream ? It isn’t here to be asked questions, it has vanished from Crestar.

Smaller than Bigdale, population is 450.

The walls don’t make a complete circuit, and there are lots of thatched roof houses along the main road through town. Two large Inns, across the road from each other. Meldale does have public ponds.

There isn’t much here.

Dark Blue for the ocean that sustains them, the black wandering line of the first battle groups that went inland after the Green Cloud saved them to look for Evil and remove it from Dank Forest. The semi-circles of planned searches for Evil finished the cleaning of the land. The Eye to show they are on watch for Evil.

As you can see from the town descriptions, they aren’t prepared for trouble.

The brown triangles show a migration path for one group of People. I’ll detail them later.

The numbers on the plains are the general locations of various Nomad tribes.

Dank Forest

A closeup of the area around Mad Krongo’s dungeon.

Dank Forest

This nation is a total monarchy allied to Trillolara. Trillolara is Northwest of here. This land is covered by an almost continuous fog or rain due to a warm northerly and cold southerly sea currents meeting just off-shore. The king charges exorbitant taxes on any treasures found. The Capitol is Brillar. (Alignments: CG, CN)

area around Brillar, Dank Forest

Mad Krongo’s Keep is the location of one adventure by a store game group. Its located in the central pass through the hills. Meldale and Bigdale are nearby villages.

Hinge Road goes inland, past Mad Krongo’s Keep, ruins, and on into the interior.

The Coast Road goes for miles, into loneliness. There are a few towns near Brillar, but not much beyond along the coast road. There are a few castles and keeps further up the coast here, but even fewer travelers.

Why does Brillar exist then ?

The Plains of Dareth are controlled by Evil, so any imports must come by sea.

An interesting place, if you like dull places.

A city, a castle or two, a few towns, but mostly villages. They know about The Land called ‘Shore’ across the lake, but due to orcs and bugbears in the Wildlands between them, there is no trade.

Not all that many people. Less than 30,000. Mostly humans, but there are a few elves and stout halflings living here.

Some farming, but lots of mountains.

Mostly they fish.

Rather hard to get from the east side of this nation to the west side, or vice-versa. The mountains get in the way. There is one pass, but it is a dangerous way to go, Dagger Pass. Those who use it seldom are seen again.

Bran Chal, the capital

There is Shagal-Tarn, out at the south end of the peninsula. The gray areas are the mountains.

It is 337 miles, straight line distance, from Shagal-Tarn to the southern most tower. The mountains are 3917 square miles and Trono is 8350 square miles, for a total of 14267 square miles.
